Families gather on the quad to celebrate the new year.
Across the quad, students, teachers, parents and staff all gathered to celebrate the first football game of the season Aug. 30. Lion pride surrounded the home bleachers as the Lions walked out of their locker room and took the field. Playing against a well-matched opponent in Fort Worth Country Day, the Lions fought to the end of the game, making a fourth-quarter comeback to tie the game at 28. However, they fell short in the end, missing an extra-point kick that would have tied the game. The team looks to bounce back next week when they travel to Cistercian.
