St. Mark’s Varsity football, hosting a pink-out game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, fell to St. John’s (Houston) by a score of 62-42. The Lions, who are now 5-3 with a 1-2 record in SPC 4A conference play, featured a potent passing attack led by QB Lawrence Gardner and WR Mateu Parker that connected for several long touchdowns. However, the defense struggled to contain Mavericks’ star running back Cole Allen, who ran for 439 yards with eight rushing touchdowns. The team now shifts its focus towards their penultimate game of the season at Episcopal (Bellaire).
