A traditional lion dance is performed as part of the Lunar New Year celebration.
On Thursday, Jan. 30, the Chinese Club and Senior Chinese Class presented the annual Chinese New Year celebration in Spencer Gym to the entire school. Featuring three separate musical performances, two lion dances, a face changer, and a chinese yo-yo performance from Hilton Sampson ‘25 and Brian Li ‘28, it was an extremely incredible performance that encompassed many traditional aspects of a Lunar New Year celebration. On Wednesday, Jan. 29, the year of the snake officially started, and Marksmen enjoyed a chapel service with traditional music as well.
