Sophomore Dawson Battie recently eclipsed the 1000 point mark during a basketball game on Feb. 6 against the Bishop Lynch Friars. While the lions lost the close game, Battie achieved this mark as just a sophomore, an extremely impressive feat for such a young player and one of several impressive accomplishments in the new Zierk Athletic Center, also including senior Luke Laczkowski eclipsing both 2000 points and breaking the school’s all time point scoring record. The Lions return on Friday for the senior night matchup against the Home School Athletic Association.
