The team won first place at the Texas State Certamen tournament
On March 1, students from the Latin program competed in the regional Certamen tournament. Certamen is a quiz-bowl style game for Latin students, where a team of up to four players can buzz in to answer Latin language and history-related questions for points. St. Mark’s had a very successful showing, with teams performing well in all three skill divisions. Two teams each placed first in the two higher divisions and another team placed third in the lowest division.
