Northcut sits amongst the various plants in the desert room of the Greenhouse. Certified as a Texas Master Naturalist, he has the arduous task of maintaining the Greenhouse on a daily basis.

Cultivation Nation, a club focused on restoring the Blackland Prairie and other natural environments in Texas, has its sights set on more events to improve the environment.

Led by club president junior Max Yan, the club will host a planting event at East Bachman Lake Nov. 11, Yan plans for more plantings to take place in the future.

Cultivation Nation is also currently coordinating new events to happen during late November and early December. One of which is a tree planting event that is being organized with the expertise of Director of Environmental Studies Dan Northcut. Planting trees is a relatively new activity that Northcut introduced to the club, and has resulted in major success.
