Nancy and Jeffrey Marcus Master Teaching Chair Bruce Westrate is presenting about climate change
On Thursday, Oct. 26, Political Forums Club, led by junior Neil Yepuri, and SPEAR(Sparking Powerful Expression and Rhetoric), led by juniors Arjun Poi and Sam Posten held a joint two-parted club meeting to discuss climate change. In SPEAR, members practice their public speaking, and in Political Forums club, Marksmen learn and debate current political issues. At the first meeting, Nancy and Jeffrey Marcus Master Teaching Chair Bruce Westrate, an author of three books, delivered a presentation on climate change. At the second meeting, Director of Environmental Studies Dan Northcut ’81 gave a speech on his views on climate change. Members of both clubs also spoke and asked questions at the meetings.
