The students and teachers answered questions from a moderator and questions from the crowd of students.

On Wednesday, Jan. 31, the Dallas Area Diversity Youth Organization (DADYO) held a  faculty and student panel regarding freedom of speech. This discussion served as a localized extension to the team’s previous event back on Oct. 23, 2023. Four faculty members and four students were brought on as panelists: Dr. Bruce Westrate, Dr. GayMarie Vaughan, Kevin Dilworth, Cory Martin, sophomore Benjamin Standefer, senior Anderson Selinger, senior Jordan Feldman and junior Neel Jain. The discussion focused on specific areas of freedom of speech that are especially prevalent in the age of social media. Three questions were provided by the DADYO team and audience members also jumped in, adding depth to the conversation. Looking forward, DADYO and the Inclusion and Diversity Leadership Council will hold Marksmen Multicultural Night on Feb. 28.
